Whose Responsibility is it to recycle your used Photocopier/copier

The UK Environment Agency specifies that electrical equipment, including photocopiers, is classed as waste and therefore need to meet WEEE legislation if the owner of the equipment wishes to dispose of the equipment. If the owner of the equipment wishes to donate the equipment as it still works in some way shape or form, then the equipment is not classed as waste and therefore does not need to follow WEEE legislation. When donating equipment to a 3rd party, the owner of the equipment has to ensure it is in working order and not classed as waste.
