Converting A4/A3 documents

A4 and A3 documents can be easily converted into electronic versions by using either a document scanner or multifunction device. Document scanners do exactly what they say and scan documents. Multifunction devices also scan documents, but by the nature of their name, multifunction devices also do more than just scanning. The reason we mention multifunction devices is that most offices these days have one. Normally in the form of a photocopier. By utilising your existing multifunction device, or photocopier, you can scan your paper documents easily without increasing the amount of hardware you have or spending more on hardware

Once your documents have been scanned, they have in essence been converted. The software you then send the converted document to controls how the document is stored, retrieved and potentially migrated.

Migrating A4/A3 documents

Migrating A4 and A3 documents is just as simple as converting them, but with some intermediary software you can have those electronic documents automatically migrated too. It sounds too good to be true, but if you have large volumes of paper documents that need to be migrated to an electronic system, then look no further. Converting Micro Film

If you have used either Microfiche or Microfilm to archive your documents Falcon are now able to supply both the hardware & software to digitise your film archives. Using Canon MS Microfilm readers it is possible to retrieve the existing images and import them into ScanFile. Up to 10 index references may then be applied to the new files. By converting the fiche/film to Scanfile the pain is taken out of locating files, whilst searching for a document is normally a cumbersome process at best, locating the document that you need takes seconds.
